Will You be our Valentine?

I mentioned in last week's newsletter every week I will be offering another way you can make a child or a senior feel special through your loving support.

Drum roll please...Week two and your second option.

You now have the chance to share your love of reading with children by giving them the opportunity to have books to call their very own.

Our inventory is low and we have 380 children ages 3-5 that are looking forward to receiving books in their birthday boxes. Each child receives 4 new books so we are in need of 1,520 books for all the kiddos this year.

There are three ways you can donate to provide books for children.

1. You can drop off books at HSP, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM.

2. You can order online and have them shipped to our center.

3. We can do the shopping for you. You can donate online by clicking HERE, (please add a note to buy books) or you can mail or drop off a check at our center. We can purchase books wholesale for $1.00 per hardcover book and we receive a bigger discount when we buy in bulk.

If you have any questions please email Jennifer, the Children's Project Coordinator at children@hsp.agency or call 630-221-8340.

On Valentine's day morning I was at the store buying a book for Ellie, my 8-month-old granddaughter's first Valentine's day. Every child deserves to have the beautiful opportunity to be read too, to learn to read when the time comes, and to have their own library of books they love and cherish.

Yours in love and service,

Kristin
