December hours: Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Our center is closed from Monday, 12/23/24 - Friday, 12/27/24. We are closing at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, 12/31/24 and all day on Wednesday, 1/1/25.

How to Enroll

The process for a senior to be enrolled in the Senior Citizen Project is as follows:

The senior must reside within DuPage or Kane counties, IL. The seniors served through this project must be 62 years old or older. All seniors looking to enroll in SCP must complete a Senior Citizen Waiting List Application with a Social Service Agency (i.e. DuPage County Senior Services, Catholic Charities), area townships, Building Manager or self-refer. 

To be eligible for the Senior Citizen Project, the senior must meet income requirements, and provide 30 days / one month proof of income. Income includes Social Security benefits, paychecks, unemployment benefits or alimony. To submit proof of income, email to scp@hsp.agency along with the completed Senior Citizen Waiting List Application.

I understand that if a caseworker, building manager, or someone else who can attest to my income did not fill out the income portion of the form. I will have to provide documented proof of income before I can be enrolled into the Senior Citizen Project.

Application Review Schedule

Once the completed Senior Citizen Project Waiting List Application and Proof of Income are received, the SCP Coordinator will contact the senior to review the completed application. Next the Application will be placed on a Waiting List until an opening exists. Once an opening is available, the senior will be contacted.
