Hi Friends,

I have done a lot of writing over the years, but this letter is one of the hardest I have ever written. As you know, my husband Dean shared that he is receiving chemotherapy to put his cancer into remission. The next stage of his treatment, a stem cell transplant, has a lengthy recovery period. He will require a lot of care initially and will be immuno-compromised for most of the year so my contact with others must be limited to keep him healthy.

I will be his primary caregiver, or "care partner" as I prefer to say, so I have made the decision to step back from my current role as Executive Director on April 15, 2026, to be with my husband. I know that he will come out stronger once we make it to the other side of this journey, and I am thankful that I can be with him to help him through his recovery.

During this transition phase, Anthony Fusco, an HSP donor and volunteer will be stepping in as the interim Executive Director to focus on the day to day activities. There will be more to come in a future letter about Anthony along with his contact information. We are thrilled to have his support during this transition.

Hi Friends,

I hope your holidays were wonderful and your new year is off to a great start. Today I enjoyed taking a walk down memory lane as I looked through all these pictures of your smiling faces. It brings me such happiness to thank all of our incredible friends that made the 47th Annual Christmas Offering such a huge success. All your generous donations and volunteer efforts brought happiness and comfort to seniors, children and their families.

Your tremendous support made it possible for 1,856 children in 1,112 families to experience an unforgettable Christmas as they opened toys, books and gift cards on Christmas day. You made it possible for 248 seniors to purchase exactly what they wanted with the gift cards they received.

During 2025, your commitment to feeding those that are hungry, enabled us to provide 2,330 grocery gift cards to seniors and 137,234 meals to seniors, children and their families. With more people coming for help in 2025 than the year before, you made sure we had the resources to provide them with food and essential items. You gave families and the elderly the ability to cook together and share laughter around the table as they ate meals with their loved ones.

Your generosity, kindness, and willingness to give to those in need is a blessing to so many. You helped seniors that have worked hard all their lives and now are thankful to have people like you they can count on during difficult times. You made a difference to parents that are working hard to make a better life for themselves and their children, but struggle to afford life's basic necessities.

Thank you for being there and making people feel loved and special. I am excited to serve beside you in 2026 and to see all the good we will do together my friends.

Yours in love and service,

Kristin Senne
Executive Director
