Even though the summer is just starting, we are already putting together school supply kits for children heading back to school in the Fall.

We will begin distributing school supply kits on July 15th through the end of August. Our goal is to make 700 kits for children ages 5 - 18 years old.

Donations can be dropped off at HSP: 465 Randy Road, Carol Stream, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. You can also put them in the bin by our front door or you can call us from your car and we will come out to get them.

You are also welcome to mail a check or donate online by clicking on the Donate button on our website and we are happy to do the shopping for you. Please just note in the comment section for school supplies.

Thank you for making it possible for children to have what they need when they head into the classroom so they can be ready for all their new experiences. Our friends Cindy Glavin from the University of Illinois Extension and George Rodgers, President of the DuPage Woodworkers came with a new micro-pantry for families, and seniors in need of 24/7 food support.

Cindy has been working on making this micro-pantry a reality since last year. The DuPage Woodworkers have been building wooden toys for children enrolled in HSP's programs for the last 20 years so it seemed a natural fit. Cindy, George and his friends worked together to make this possible. A special thank you to George, Mike, Frank, Mike and Chuck as they purchased the lumber, supplies and donated their time to build this amazing pantry.

This pantry makes it possible for families and seniors to take items as needed. This micro-pantry will replace the bin with food that is on the side of HSP's building making it easier and more visible for those needing support.

If you would love to give to help fill this pantry, please click on the Donate button on our website.

We are happy to be one of the new micro-pantry sites in DuPage County and to have the support of incredible friends that made it possible. To watch the video, click on the title of the article to view. Enjoy friends!
