What We Do—

Christmas Offering

The 44th Annual 2023 Christmas Offering was a huge success thanks to our incredible donors! You provided toys to over 1,500 children and gift cards to 188 seniors living in poverty in our community, and brought lots of smiles and happiness. Families and seniors received over 27,000 pounds of groceries in the month of December, so they could make delicious holiday meals.

What is the Christmas Offering?

This project is for seniors enrolled in the Senior Citizen Project and children ages 3 to 12 that are enrolled in the Children’s Project along with their siblings up to 15 years of age. The goal of the annual Christmas Offering is to provide children and the elderly with presents to open on Christmas day and nutritious food to create meals to celebrate during the holiday season.

Why does this project exist?

We want the Christmas season to be one of happiness filled with presents to open and delicious meals around the table, yet sadly for those living in poverty this is often not the case. With the high cost of living in this area, after paying for rent, gas, and utilities, parents simply do not have money left over to purchase gifts for their children. The elderly are often without family or friends making Christmas a lonely time with no celebration or presents to open. Through this program, the young and old alike can experience the joy of the holiday season with presents under the tree and nutritious meals to enjoy with family and friends.

How can you help bring Christmas joy to seniors and children?

Christmas is a magical time of year; and it takes many elves, donors and volunteers to make this program possible and to put smiles on the faces of kids and seniors! Here is how you can help.

Help Local Families in Need: Your kindness can change lives, one meal at a time. Each $1 you give provides 7 meals and essentials to children and the elderly facing hunger in our community.

  • Donate now to send children and the elderly to bed with a full belly.

Donate in Kind Items: We need your help with donations of new toys, new books, gift cards and food to make Christmas unforgettable for seniors, children, and their families.
