Cruisin' Tigers GTO & All Pontiac Club
It sure was a hot one during the Indian Uprising weekend hosted by the Cruisin' Tigers GTO and All Pontiac Club. Temperatures soared to 100 degrees but a fun time was had by all that attended. Club members and car lovers brought their cars and the spectators showed up to be a part of the event. This is the 10th anniversary of HSP being the clubs chosen charity and them donating money to provide food and important services to children enrolled in the Children's Project. HSP's staff Dean and Kristin have volunteered for 10 years in registration and loved being a part of this incredible charity event.

Parvin-Clauss Sign Co., Inc.
It was wonderful to see our friends from Parvin-Clauss Sign Co., Inc. when they dropped off school supplies at HSP. John and the incredible employees at their two locations donated a roller cart filled with all the important supplies children need to start the new school year off right. From backpacks, to folders, paper and plenty of other goodies, they sure did an amazing job on their first school supply drive held at their company!

Backpacks & Food Distributions
We have been super busy distributing school supplies, birthday boxes and groceries to seniors and families. Staff and volunteers pull grocery orders, backpacks and birthday boxes to prepare for everyone coming to HSP. As families and seniors arrive they are greeted by our friendly staff. After they check in, their orders are loaded in the cars by the amazing volunteers and staff, like Julia our Client Communication Coordinator. We are very thankful for our incredible HSP friends that give so much to make this possible!

Chicagoland Motor Expo
A fun time was had by all at the Chicagoland Motor Expo in June. This charity event was hosted to provide support to the children and seniors that receive services through HSP's programs. There were hundreds of cars at the event and so many incredible people that came for the day with their cars or as spectators. There was music, food, auctions and many trophies handed out to the car enthusiasts. Thanks to the generous support of this hard working group of people, children and seniors will have food to eat, and necessary items such as toilet paper and hygiene items.

Nourish our Neighborhoods
We received an amazing donation from our friends at the Jewish United Fund through their twice-yearly program called Nourish Our Neighborhoods (NON). NON is a community-wide collection drive benefiting different organizations across Chicagoland. Wonderful people from all over the area dropped off hygiene kits at a suburban location which were then transported by volunteers to HSP. These kits contained a toothbrush, dental floss and toothpaste. We were very thankful to receive over 400 kits which will help seniors and children maintain healthy hygiene habits.

UPS Community Connections
The amazing employees at UPS are at it again, raising money at their center that the employees graciously give to purchase items in need. They bought books for children to receive in their birthday boxes. Books are very important as many low income families cannot afford them. Children need them to read at home and to have books to call their own. They also donated personal care items for seniors and families in our programs. These items are expensive and are most requested because everyone needs them to stay clean and healthy.

We Celebrate our Amazing Volunteers!
Every week we have incredible volunteers that come to HSP and serve those in need. It would be impossible for our small staff to do the work without their tremendous support. Everything that comes through HSP's doors must be sorted and put into the proper place. From sorting food, to stocking the pantry, pickups in the community and deliveries to the homes of seniors and families with no transportation, our volunteers do it all. Toys are sorted, backpacks packed and groceries handed out to those in need every week. THANK YOU for your loving support, time and energy you give to provide happiness and comfort to children and seniors.

The residents at Belmont Village have been volunteering and donating to help seniors and children for the last 18 years. They work hard to raise money which they use to purchase food, personal care items, toys and items for birthday parties for kiddos. A wonderful time was had by all during this special volunteering event at HSP.
