Enrolled Families and Seniors: While our business hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM our hours for picking up food in December are as follows: Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Wednesdays from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM with no appointment needed. We will be closed from December 24, 2025 through January 2, 2026 with the pantry re-opening on January 5, 2026.     

Familias y personas mayores inscritas: Nuestro horario de atención es de lunes a viernes de 8:00 a. m. a 5:30 p. m., y para recoger alimentos en diciembre, el horario es el siguiente: martes de 2:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. y miércoles de 9:30 a. m. a 5:00 p. m., sin cita previa. School Supplies Needed for 1,000 Children

Hi Friends,

Even though the summer is just starting, we have been lucky to have volunteers putting together school supply kits for children heading back to school in the Fall. With over 950 children enrolled in HSP's Children's Project we need your help to provide school supplies so volunteers can continue putting together supply kits.

We will distribute school supply kits July 15th - August 29th. 

Our top needed items are:

  • Solid black backpacks – high school
  • Patterned backpacks for 1st grade – 3rd grade boys
  • 1-inch solid color 3 ring binders – middle & high school
  • Filler paper (Loose leaf paper) – wide or college rule
  • 10 count broad or fine line markers

Here are three ways you can help a child and donate supplies.

1. You can shop at your favorite store and drop off at our center.   

Donations can be dropped off at HSP: 465 Randy Road, Carol Stream, Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. You can also put them in the bin by our front door or you can call us from your car and we will come out. 

2. You can click HERE to purchase from our Amazon wish list. Or you can click HERE to purchase from our Target wish list.  

3. You are also welcome to mail a check or donate online by clicking HERE and we are happy to do the shopping for you through a company where we can buy in bulk. Please just note in the comment section for school supplies.

Thank you for making it possible for children to have what they need when they head into the classroom so they can be ready for all their new and exciting experiences.
