Hi Friends,
Last week I was able to visit with a mom that I have known for many years. She was picking up a birthday box for her son. Her other son who is turning 3 in October was busy walking around and closing office doors. As we talked further she shared that he is autistic and non-verbal. As he looked at me with his big brown eyes and head full of dark hair I asked if he wanted to come to me. He lunged forward and I held him while we talked. Mom got very emotional and the look on her face was one of happiness when her son left her hip for mine.
I asked if she has any help when she goes to work. She explained that while cleaning houses, her sister babysits. She works hard, but it isn't easy.
As she was getting ready to leave she said, thank you for everything you always do for me and my family. This beautiful moment is all thanks to you.
Thank you for all give, do and share to help those facing difficult challenges. You are the sunshine and the shining joy for so many seniors, families and their children. For this is I am very grateful for our HSP family.
Yours in love and service,
Kristin Senne
Executive Director
