Hi Friends,
A good time was had by all on Saturday at the food and personal care packing event at HSP. I asked for help and 14 amazing volunteers showed up to prepare food and personal care bags for seniors, children and their families.
This group went above and beyond and made more bags than I planned. They put together: 390 bags of non-perishable food, and 431 personal care kits!
And it's a good thing that so many bags were prepared because this week we continue to be extremely busy with families and seniors coming to HSP for help.
Seniors like Karen, who sent this email regarding the support you provide.
Hi Dean,
First I would like to thank you and tell you how grateful I am to be part of your Senior program. This means so much to me and is a great help with all my food/essentials that I so much need in my daily living.
Also, I would like to say many thanks for the referral to Lens Crafters for my glasses. I got my glasses, and they are perfect!
Everyone at Humanitarian goes out of their way to be so thoughtful. I’m thanking everyone at Humanitarian for their kindness and compassion.
Wishing all a wonderful Holiday Season! Thanks Karen
