This week we heard a story about how the kindness of others created a lasting impression decades later in the life of one of our HSP friends. After toys were dropped off the employee shared with Julia and I that she organizes the company toy drive every year and she does this because when she was a child her family received toys from a similar organization as HSP.
When she was young, her father was a victim of a violent crime and he was unable to work for nine months. That Christmas, she was eight years old, middle sister was five and little brother was four. This organization gave them toys which made for a very memorable Christmas. She is determined to help children in any way she can, so other children can be given the gift of a wonderful Christmas just as she, her brother, sister, mom and dad enjoyed many years ago. Now you have the chance to bring joy and forever change a life.

You are welcome to mail a check or, drop it by our center Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM. You can also place a check through the mail slot in our front door outside of these hours.
I do believe that our acts of generosity and the compassion we bestow towards others can make a seismic shift in the lives of those around us. This conversation is a beautiful example of the difference one loving act can make.
