December 23, 2025
Hi Friends,
Christmas may be in December, but all the fun starts at the very beginning of the year with planning the upcoming Christmas calendar. By the time August rolls around, we are already starting up, and the lovely, crazy season just keeps getting busier until we find ourselves in December. This morning, just as I have in years past I find myself thinking how did it all go by so quickly. With just two days until Christmas the memories are flooding back from all the incredible experiences since the journey started. I remember the beautiful events you have asked us to attend, to our conversations on the phone or when you came to drop off donations, to seeing your smiling faces, and hearing the laughter as you put together bags of groceries and toys.
All these moments exemplify the love and compassion you have put forth to ensure seniors, children and their families celebrate a wonderful Christmas filled with presents to open and delicious meals to enjoy gathered around the holiday table.
Your donations of toys, gift cards, books, clothing, food and Christmas goodies have made their way into the homes of families and seniors. Your financial support means their cabinets and fridges are stocked with nutritious produce and food to make delicious meals. All the hours of time volunteers have spent preparing gift packages, along with bags of groceries and produce is incredible. You worked hard in the warehouse, drove throughout the community picking up donations of toys and food and showed up on family distribution days to bear the cold, filling cars with gifts and groceries.
Seniors feel loved and remembered through your tremendous acts of kindness and are thankful to know they are cared for by so many.
Your loving support makes it possible for children to be excited about receiving awesome presents and for their parents to see the happiness and smiles on their children's faces as they open their gifts.
The nutritious food you provided means seniors, children, mothers and fathers can cook together, and celebrate the fun of the holiday season.
The staff is now ready for a delightful, long nap and time to celebrate with their families so our office will be closed from Wednesday, 12/24 through Friday, 1/2.
Thank you for being Santa's helpers, and Christmas angels. We wish you, your family and loved ones a very Merry Christmas!
Yours in Love and Service from your HSP family,
Kristin, Floyd, Jennifer, Nancy, Dean, Julia, Bridget, Matt, Michele, Brian and Sandy
