Thank You School Supply Donors
Our hearts go out with gratitude for the many wonderful people that have dropped off and shipped school supplies for children in need. You are the reason children can return to school with the supplies they need to start the year off right. With 446 backpacks distributed as of 7/26, we will continue to distribute through the month of August and in the children's birthday boxes.

School Supply Volunteers at HSP
A HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers that have been distributing backpacks filled with supplies to families for their children. Through your hard work 446 children have received school supplies over the last 9 days of distribution. And for showing up every week to prepare produce and grocery packages to serve seniors, children and their families that are suffering from hunger in our community.

Mrs. Illinois International
On our July Senior Delivery day, Bernie, our weekly superstar volunteer had a special guest to ride along with him on the delivery to senior's homes. Sandy Costa, Mrs. Illinois International selected HSP as one of the charities she wanted to volunteer and spend time at. Sandy has been very active for years in the community at local charities and her church. Sandy will also be helping distribute groceries and school supplies to children in the Children's Project.

Jabil Volunteering Event
We were so happy to have the amazing support of employees from Jabil at HSP to volunteer. They put together school supply packages for younger children enrolled in the Children's Project. This was a very important task as distribution to families begins on July 16th through August 30th at HSP's center.

Dine & Donate Event - Lou Malnati's
Thank you from the HSP staff for eating at Lou's during our Dine and Donate event making it possible for HSP to receive 20% of sales through your orders to provide nutritious meals to children and seniors in HSP's programs. It was awesome to receive an email from Vicki telling us, "I hope this did well. We enjoyed our pizza. Thanks for the night off cooking!"

Lombard Service League
The wonderful women from the Lombard Service League visited HSP for a check presentation and tour. This organization has supported children and seniors in HSP's programs for 20 years. St. Edward School
A packed car arrived at HSP with a fabulous donation of party in a bag kits for children enrolled in the Children's Project. The 90 bags the children from the school put together and donated will bring a lot of smiles and happiness to children celebrating birthdays. They can bake a cake and have a party with their families thanks to this amazing school.

Crane Composites
We had a wonderful visit with Brian and Kate from Crane Composites. Kate, recommended HSP because she feels passionate about our mission which made this donation from the Crane Charitable Funds possible. This incredible gift will provide nutritious meals and important essentials such as toothpaste and soap to children and seniors in need.

The Batavia Mother's Club Foundation
Since 1934 this club has dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life of children and families in their community through philanthropic endeavors and working in cooperation with organizations having similar purposes. Kristin, HSP's Executive Director had a wonderful time meeting Kristin (pictured on right) and other club members during their grant reception. Love Like Lija
We received a huge donation of 26 Party-in-a-bags and 26 gift cards to McDonalds for children enrolled in the Children's Project. This beautiful donation came to us through the Love Like Lija Foundation which exists to fund projects that demonstrate care, kindness, and compassion to people in need. This foundation honors Lija, who passed away at the age of 16 and is meant to carry on the compassion and caring she started. Plainfield Junior Woman's Club
Kristin, HSP's Executive Director was honored to attend the final meeting and check presentation on May 16th. Angel Whitefleet, President of the PJWC and the incredible club members hosted their Spring Fundraiser and WhoDunnit Mystery Dinner for three charities. This club works tirelessly to raise funds to support local women, children, high school students, senior citizens, homeless, victims of tragedy and families in need. We are very thankful to our loving friends at the Science of Spirituality (SOS) for their matching gift towards Giving DuPage Days. Aashna came by for a visit and dropped off this very important donation which will help provide nutritious produce to seniors, families and their children.
