St. Edward School
A packed car arrived at HSP with a fabulous donation of party in a bag kits for children enrolled in the Children's Project. The 90 bags the children from the school put together and donated will bring a lot of smiles and happiness to children celebrating birthdays. They can bake a cake and have a party with their families thanks to this amazing school.

Crane Composites
We had a wonderful visit with Brian and Kate from Crane Composites. Kate, recommended HSP because she feels passionate about our mission which made this donation from the Crane Charitable Funds possible. This incredible gift will provide nutritious meals and important essentials such as toothpaste and soap to children and seniors in need.

The Batavia Mother's Club Foundation
Since 1934 this club has dedicated themselves to improving the quality of life of children and families in their community through philanthropic endeavors and working in cooperation with organizations having similar purposes. Kristin, HSP's Executive Director had a wonderful time meeting Kristin (pictured on right) and other club members during their grant reception. Love Like Lija
We received a huge donation of 26 Party-in-a-bags and 26 gift cards to McDonalds for children enrolled in the Children's Project. This beautiful donation came to us through the Love Like Lija Foundation which exists to fund projects that demonstrate care, kindness, and compassion to people in need. This foundation honors Lija, who passed away at the age of 16 and is meant to carry on the compassion and caring she started. Plainfield Junior Woman's Club
Kristin, HSP's Executive Director was honored to attend the final meeting and check presentation on May 16th. Angel Whitefleet, President of the PJWC and the incredible club members hosted their Spring Fundraiser and WhoDunnit Mystery Dinner for three charities. This club works tirelessly to raise funds to support local women, children, high school students, senior citizens, homeless, victims of tragedy and families in need. Science of Spirituality
We are very thankful to our loving friends at the Science of Spirituality (SOS) for their matching gift towards Giving DuPage Days. Aashna came by for a visit and dropped off this very important donation which will help provide nutritious produce to seniors, families and their children. UPS Community Connections
It was awesome to catch up Tina and Chiquita our friends at UPS. For the last 8 years they have been donating money to sponsor seniors in the Senior Citizen Project. Their generous gift is providing groceries and essential items to Petter and Donna. This incredible group holds different events at work, like food and bake sales to raise the money to sponsor seniors in need. The employees are very generous in supporting these events and for also donating school supplies, food and party supplies for children.

V3 Food Drive
Barbara from V3 stopped by HSP with an SUV filled with food from her company's food drive. It was wonderful to visit with Barbara and to hear about the employees participation in the drive. V3 has supported families and seniors since 2008 through their donations of toys, food, personal care, senior items and party in a bags. They have a long and committed history of ensuring children and the elderly have the essential items they need along with the fun things that all children deserve.

Carol Stream Rotary Community Wide Food Drive
A HUGE thank you to the Carol Stream community and the Rotary Club of Carol Stream for filling the HSP van with much needed items. We were amazed to see the incredible donation of food, paper products and various items donated to help families and seniors struggling with hunger in our community. With 61% more people coming for food than a year ago, many seniors, children and their families will receive the help they need because of the support of the Carol Stream residents.

Guardian Angels Gala
Kristin Senne, HSP's Executive Director was honored to be a guest of Dr. Donald McNeeley / Chicago Tube & Iron at the Guardian Angels gala event. This incredible event helps to support Guardian Angel Community Services programs. This organization has been serving and changing lives in the community since 1897 providing services to those affected by sexual assault and domestic violence. They strive to instill hope through client-centered services provided in a safe and confidential environment.

PJWC hosted their Spring Fundraiser and HSP was one of the three charities chosen to receive funds from their event. They hosted a WhoDunnit Mystery Dinner where those in attendance worked to solve the crime. Kristin Senne, Executive Director and Nancy Dorsman, Outreach Coordinator at HSP were hot on the case reading clues and interviewing suspects. An awesome time was had by all and for a great cause to provide important services to seniors, children and their families.
